The Sunderland Aquatic Centre has a fascia which describes an extreme curve.
Working closely with Robin Morley who scripted a ‘Poem to Sunderland’, the images were designed to reflect Sunderland and its connection to the sea and to its industrial heritage.
‘To me the curvature of the building suggested a breaking wave and this is how I decided to address the architecture’.
